The sides, revisited

In long-term projects like this one, things are bound to change in the process. The sides are one of those things. These was originally meant to have a sleek and minimalistic design, but turned out completely different.


The old side was very bland, and I felt that with other changes it no longer met the feeling of the mod. So, I started off by milling some aluminium...


...and then added some AC Ryan MeshX and a bit of acrylic. As you can see, this totally changes the look of the mod!


Last for the side panels, I wanted some LEDs. But rather than just try to hide them, I thought maybe I could show it off a little. So, I made a pair of acrylic strips with four holes each, then fed the LED wires through tubes to create that futuristic look.
